Marta Leshak’s illustration depicts the daily struggle for one's values, freedom, and life. The girls hold flowers in their hands, a symbol of their homeland, culture, and national identity, which they cherish and protect. Also depicted are rockets and explosions—an image of war that has made its way onto the embroidery alongside traditional Ukrainian flowers and birds, reflecting the contemporary Ukrainian reality.
